Centre trim

Hi, I have got the centre trim for my car (planning to do the CIC upgrade)
Just wonder why the trim is darker than my pre LCI centre trim even though the patterns are the same?
There are 2 colours?

Now the centre trim is not matching the rest of the trim since the difference is actually quite huge.

Any thought what can I do?

Thanks.

I was only reading about that the other day LCI had a darker colour
Dark Glacier Silber
Somebody in USA mentioned about it.
There are two colours.
Part numbers the same from 2007 to 2013 I checked the ashtray part number.
I was going to order the dash trim as I scratched it accidently but I will have to look in to it more.

Damnnn....

Thanks for letting me know.

So, is there actually any light Glacier Siber centre trim for CIC controller?
Or LCI doesn't have?

I don't want to wrap or paint. So, either buy a matching centre trim again or buy the darker colour ashtray cover for this darker centre trim.

I found this interesting reading.

E92 S4WA ALUMINIUM GLACIER SILVER DARK.
E92 S4MGA ALUMINIUM GLACIER SILVER.
That's why there are two lots of Glacier Silber trim sections in the parts catalogue.

I also suspect the lighter color maybe plastic and the darker color metal.

I just picked up a center CIC trim with ashtray lid and it is all metal but many folks with the lighter trim say it felt plastic to them.

Not that I know of
Might be easier to take it into a paint shop to colour match

A paint shop can identify the colorcode or is there any device which can tell you the color code and then after they can mix it for me?

The alternative is to find a shade you like and spray the whole lot. Matching paint EXACTLY can be problematic
