Hey guys,

I did injectors last weekend and plugs Thursday evening. Car runs great. There's only about 500 miles on my current oil change, but given one injector was stuck wide open last weekend and the car was smoking up the neighborhood when I limped home, i'm wondering if I should change my oil and filter??

I have no idea if there's fuel mixing with the oil after injector failure.... but if there is, seems to me an oil change makes sense.. Thoughts welcome!!

Also, is there any demonstrable truth to the argument that Motul oil will help to lower engine temps on an N54? I'm not having problems and I'm not tracking this car, but it's tuned and I push it a bit in the summer. Although I'm near Chicago, we routinely see 90+ in July and August...

Definitely not a bad idea since oil is cheap. A little fuel in the oil isn't a huge deal, but we don't know how much is in there.

I changed mine just to be safe after changing 3 injectors that were leaking.

I only had 600miles on my oil when my injectors went.
For the sake of the £50 it cost for a change I had it done.

You will be kicking yourself if you destroy a bearing from contaminated oil for the sake of such little money

with 500 miles oil is pretty fresh don't think it's needed, just change after 2500 miles if you're really concerned
