Motorola V557, Cingular and Bluetooth?
Anyone have the V557? Have you gotten it to pair? Any problems? I'm considering the upgrade from my ancient Nokia.

My sister has the V551 on her pre-Sept 325 and it pairs perfectly. The V557 is the same exact phone as the V551 except it has the media net ticker.
I have the V540 (same as V551, but without a camera) and I got it specifically expecting it to be just as compatible as the V551. My E90 is not here yet so I couldn't tell you if it works, but I expect it to. The V551 is on the approved list of bluetooth phones approved by BMW. It's taking a chance to assume the V557 or V540 also work, but not much of one in my opinion since they are all essentially the same phone. Last edited by Laplacian; 02-09-2006 at 07:10 PM.. |

seems as if your car has the latest CIP update it shoud work with any bluetooth phone, but the phonebooks may not sync up
