Replacing E93 Roof Seals
Anyone done this? My seals are cracked in some places. Hard or expensive to do?
No leaks as yet other than the annoying drivers door window drip. |

No comments from anyone so I'll ask another question if that's ok!
How do other E93 owners lubricate their roof seals and with what? The VW Eos has its own really expensive lubricant but do BMW recommend anything similar? Thanks. |

I recently used Krytox™ GPL 205 Grease, 0.5 oz. tube as i recently picked up a 09' e93 and it worked very well, the only downside is that the tops of the windows all got a little great on them when closing, so i had to clean them for a few weeks. It helped to stop some rattling. overall very happy with the results.

Thanks. Yeah I've seen that stuff but it's very expensive! Wondered if there was a cheaper version or just a car cleaning alternative like a rubber car spray or something. Looks like I might have to invest in some of that then.

Agree that Krytox works well. So does gummi pflege.
There is a great thread on another forum that discusses this. Just google "origami top care" and your question will be well answered. |

I think it was only like $17 for the Krytox, which seemed pretty reasonable
