SSTT MPG?
I get around 16 - 17mpg on my 335xi sedan driving around the city. What will I get if I get a SSTT installed?

How do you get more power and also better mpg? I thought the more power, the less mpg on a car.

I just don't understand how it makes more power and produces better gas millage. Can somebody explain to me the logic behind this?

I think this is at least partially right since I just completely made all that up. In my 325xi step, I avg 13-14mpg in the city. I think I need more power so I stop driving like a lead foot. If you have a more powerful car, you don't push it as hard and you obviously get a higher mpg. |

maybe it's a result of not needing to floor the car as much, since there is so much more lower end torque. You only need to floor it in cases where you need emergency accelleration or if you want to break the tires loose at 50mph

depending on the variances of all the users it most likely is just that, a variance. the SSTT uses the stock power curve and when off heavy throttle everything is in stock trim. from the dynos graphs i have seen the SSTT doesnt run leaner then stock anywhere like other tuns do under 2k or so to help with MPG. then again this alone cannot justify a car spending less gas, there can be other factors, thats just my take. hope that helps any
