Occasional smoke/smell coming from valve cover?!?

Ok, so its been happening on and off for a couple weeks now. Sometimes I'll be ok for days at a time and others it seems to happen every time I slow down or stop.

So, I took it to my buddies shop to get it on a lift and we didn't notice anything "leaking" per say but what I did notice was subtle hints of smoke coming from around the valve cover/oil cap.

What is this? How do I fix it? and is it in emergent need of attention?

Thanks

Probably a leaking/cracked vcg/vc. Pull the spark plugs and look for oil, and oil underneath the engine cover

This requires lots of tools and is quite difficult. Not to mention you can break clips and still even then not get a perfect seal on the gasket. Don't attempt the DIY unless you're patient. I got lucky my first time

It's a lot of work but not that difficult. Took me about 4 hours the first time to replace the gasket. Later my valve cover had a crack in it so I had to replace the whole thing :valve cover and gasket . Only took me 2 hours the second time.
