question on detailing a black metallic e92

Hi Everyone,

I have read many posts related to the subject, and have educated myself to some degree on detailing.

my question is, my e92 current paint condition is similar to the picture below:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y30...ture012-18.jpg. my fiance, was nice enough to wash my car for me, but instead of a touchless she ran it through a "touch" car wash.

i was wondering if my current sequence of products will work.

1. wash with dawn
2. mother's clay bar with detailing spray
3. mother's carnuba cleaning wax
4. wash with autoglym bodywork shampoo
5. apply autoglym super resin polish
6. apply autoblym extra gloss protection

*in between i use sheep skin to wash, chamois to dry, microfibre towels/terry towels/cloth applicators.......hopefully these aren't producing the ugly swirl marks.

on this board i hear a lot of manzerna and poor boy's products. i live in toronto and i don't have access to tehse products. however, i do have zaino z5pro, 2pro, z5 and so on, can i add these products to the sequence?

also, many of you use the buffing machine, how critical is this machine?

i used to own a electron blue pearl prelude, a sunfire yellow s2k, an imola red m3, and i used a compound called klasse for like 8 yrs. but i realized that Klasse doesn't work on black cars so this is why i require some assistance from you folks.

thanks everyone

now the experts can correct me if im wrong but ull want to use the zaino products after you wash the second time. But before you use z2 and z5 which are sealants, u need a polish to really get the swirls out. When people mention using machines on here, its because they use them to polish. After you polish you seal in the new surface with the z2 and z5. then after the sealants cure and settle, then u can use waxes and glazes and stuff but you dont really need to.

here's what you should do, you have the order all mixed around.

1. wash with dawn
2. mother's clay bar with detailing spray
3. wash, only if necessary
5. apply autoglym super resin polish
6. apply autoblym extra gloss protection
7. apply carnauba wax of your choice. not a cleaner wax, it will remove any previous protection put on the paint, for instance a cleaner wax will remove the extra gloss protection

*in between i use sheep skin to wash, chamois to dry do not use chamois, buy a quality microfiber waffle weave drying towel, microfibre towels/terry towels do not use terry towels on paint/cloth applicators do not use cloth applicators, use foam ones.......hopefully these aren't producing the ugly swirl marks.

on this board i hear a lot of manzerna and poor boy's products. try eshine.ca to get menzerna and so on in canada. i live in toronto and i don't have access to tehse products. however, i do have zaino z5pro, 2pro, z5 and so on, can i add these products to the sequence?

you will not get swirl marks out without it.

klasse works fine on black cars, but it is not a compound. more like a all-in-one product with LIGHT polish in it. so it makes it so you don't notice the swirls on lighter colors, but on black you see everything.

thanks everyone
hope that helps
