2007 335i E90 xenon to 2009 E90 xenon lci headlight conversion help
So i've done a fair amount of reading and searching and I see people have done it but there isn't a clear DIY
my car is 2007 335i e90 with xenon and adaptive lights I want to simply swap for 2009 or 10 e90 xenon adaptive LCI (LED signal) headlights WHAT all is needed to do this swap? headlights? conversion harness? frm2 or 3 module? Thank you so much for any help. |

I swapped my 08 headlights for lci headlights. The only thing I swapped out between headlights were the xenon bulbs. The ballasts, led turn signals, adaptive modules will not fit. The issue I had was the adaptive feature wouldn't work correctly. No biggie. Since yours is an 07, may need a different frm module. Also, on the lci headlight, only one of the corner leds should be lit when lights are on, but retrofitting it will have all the leds on.

I have to voice my frustration here! I've read no less than 10 threads on this conversion of Pre-LCI adaptive to LCI adaptive Xenons. I'm not changing tail lights. If I can avoid changing to FRM3 I would like to.
I know several forum users have converted, why is it so hard to get a straight step-by-step DIY thread on this conversion? Is there a thread I'm missing? |
