USB-AUX Retrofit
Hi All,
I have a business pro head unit and the car does have an aux port installed however this really sounds crap unfortunately no usb was fitted. I also have the full blue tooth preparation kit installed. My question is Does anyone know how to enable USB support and what parts I would need? or Would I be better off getting an audio connection kit if one is availble for Android for my phone to connect directly to the head unit? I have a Samsung galaxy S7 and would either like to hook this up and play mp3 's through it or attach a USB memory stick as opposed to using crappy CD's Thanks in advance EQ |

You either have the business or the Professional not possible to have a business pro head. If you have Bluetooth you may have a tcu that supports USB. Check your trunk and see if the tcu has the un used USB port. (Round with 4 pins in it) if no free port you would need to retrofit the tcu with USB which is not that cheap, add cable, USB port and code.

I ended out getting pro head unit with bt and usb built in and fed the cable through the centre console and install bmw mic as I couldn't locate the existing mic wiring. Luckily it didn't need coding to work. my silver thing in the boot just had a white and black cable for Bluetooth so I definitely went for the easier option.
