The interior looks very good. What did you use to clean the leather. Not the product, but the tool to agitate?
How come in your product list you state that "CG Green Clay" was used but the clay bar in your hand looks like the Meguiars "Smooth Surface" clay bar. I can tell by the way its breaking up in your hand...

Seriously. Its like they plan to have you detail it a month or so in advance, and figure they won't wash it until then. I'd charge extra incase you end up having to trash a claybar on one vehicle. $20 a bar is no laughing matter. LOL

It seems that he clayed with two different types.
The white or gray clay he used is the CG medium clay and he must of followed it with the green clay.

I've just started reading up on all this detailing stuff so that I can do my own car here pretty soon. I read this article before and he states to cut the bar up into smaller pieces to uses on different parts of the car but I notice in your pics you are using the whole bar at once. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9145
Is one way better than the other? Are both ways used for different types of contamination? Also, one more question. If I end up having someone else do it, what is an appropriate price range just for an exterior detail that would involve getting rid of light scratches and swirling? And very nice work by the way! |

Thanks BK, I tried to use a little piece last night on two fingers and it did seem a little awkward so I think when I actually start the whole process I'll use a bigger piece like you mentioned.
