Top notch P&L 304 Stainless steel full exhaust for 335D is now available!

Hi guys, we've got a great new option for a downpipe, catback, or full exhaust for the 335D. I'll be installing one of these on my car as soon as my oil pump arrives from Germany and the hybrid turbos get here from JR Auto Performance.

Here is the links and some photos
Downpipe kit - $600 http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-down...ainless-steel/
Catback - $1299.99 http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-catb...ainless-steel/
Combo for a full turbo back exhaust - Saving you $200 - http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-full...ainless-steel/

It's nice to see more and more options becoming available for this platform.

It looks like this downpipe starts out at a >3 inch diameter and then necks down to 3 inches for the rest of the length? If so, what's the diameter of the initial turbo connection section?

This initially starts out at 3.5" OD then tapers down to 3" OD

Question... Any chance this exhaust will be offered as a downpipe back kit? Also, any chance you have a customer that can confirm it would bolt up to a certain banned one's downpipe?

Looks good! But sound, not looks, is something I'm a bit more concerned about before deciding on an exhaust path. Can you try to briefly describe the sonic difference between straight-pipe and with resonators? I like a quieter exhaust, so I'll be doing something more customized with actual mufflers, unless we're claiming your resonators help quite a bit.

It's his third link in the original post. Not sure about the second part but would imagine so!

Yes it is in the link above called "catback"

Yes sir,
Catback - $1299.99 http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-catb...ainless-steel/

This goes from the downpipe to the back of the car and it can be bolted onto most downpipes including "the banned one".

Unfortunately the systems with resonators are unavailable, the resonators did help quite a bit but the sales volume on the kits wasn't enough to keep BuzzKen interested in making them.

My apologies. I don't consider a dpf a cat, so I was a little confused. I am used to my cummins diesel, and a dpf (downpipe) back exhaust is totally different from a cat back exhaust. Two different emissions animals

I never said it didn't? Our SCR has a cat in it too? So... I associate cat back exhaust with catalytic converter back... That's all I was saying. I missed the link that said cat back because I was looking for dpf back.

It would be awesome to see some dyno comparisons for different exhaust options (i.e. gutted scr, buzzken, unobtanium, etc) all with the same dp installed.

Merely an educated guess here but I think the dyno comparisons would be negligible, the biggest differences would be:
  • Sound
  • Cost
  • Ease of installation
  • Material Type
  • Product durability

If you had a kit that bolts up to the stock mufflers I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

I do, it the Unobtainium downpipe and SCR delete pipe
http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-downpipe-3-5-unobtainium/
http://www.fixmyvw.com/bmw-335d-scr-delete-unobtainium/

Realistically you can use that SCR delete pipe with just about any downpipe and keep the stock mufflers

Is the unobtainium SCR delete pipe bolt to the stock mufflers or do they need to be cut/welded?
