FRM2/FRM3/FRMN Coding or New Unit

Hi,

I recently go water in my driver's side headlight and experienced a failure as well as "low beam failure" code/. Long store short, I fixed the leak, changed the ballast to an aftermarket new replacement, and changed the bulb. Still no luck.

Two questions:

1. Can I/how do I recode th FRM to remove the circuit faults so power is restored to the low/high beam. It must be fine via tool32.

2. If I need to buy a pre-owned FRM2/3/N, will I lose any coding I had done previously?

3. Who can help me do this remotely if needed?

try clearing the code then turning on the lights again.

no point recoding since that's not the issue here

It's very easy to reset the short circuit counter using tool32. I'm sure someone will help you but it's explained in many threads. Try this before buying a new FRM.

@sensible, thank you. A lot of people I have tried are not comfortable with tool32. Is the circuit counter fault clear usually the fix? Is there anyway I could have destroyed the new bulb or ballast by trying to turn on the headlights after installation?
