I don't think mines that loud...but I get it when I first start the car, then it usually fades away. Took it in and dealer said it's normal.

Does your care tick faster when you accelerate up to about 3.5k and then as the RPM's come down the ticking slows down? From the sound of the video it looks like it could be just the "normal" direct fuel injection sound, but check out this other thread that has to do with wastegate failures that case very annoying ticking (I was one of these "victims" to have a wastegate failure, but it has been resolved by my dealer). Read through the thread and check out AU335's video to see if yours sounds like that. If it does and you are meeting all the "symptoms" then you may also have some wastegate issues. Take a minute and check out the thread:

the ticking noise occurs during engine decelleration or just during idle? If its when the engine decellerates and sounds similiar to mine, i would DEFINITELY advise you to take it in and have it looked at. Most likely its the wastegate actuator, HOWEVER...they replaced one of mine and the noise is still there + 4 LIMP CELs and counting Taking her in tomorrow to continue this stressful event

the noise in the SIB is for accel only*meaning not at idle*..the n54 is a loud engine in general due to direct injection and the type of injector that it uses along with the hpfp..your noise to me sounds normal
