Turbo whine?
Hey guys!
My car started to make that whine noise about 2 months ago, at first it was really hard to hear it, but it was getting louder with time. Happens on lite throttle, specially if car is going uphill, at around 1700RPM. car drives fine, no smoke, no rattles, no oil usage. Turbos are 5 months old. Mods are: ER CP, ER FMIC, RB inlets, Wedge custom tune. datazap link youtube link whine is louder in car, it's quieter in recording because of noise cancelling microphones on the phone. I wanted to know if turbo whine means that my turbos WILL crap out soon and suddenly? |

no change with AC, belt and tensioner was replaced about a year ago. There is no whine if revving in park, it makes the noise only when engine is under load - going slight uphill for example.

I think your fine. As long as no smoke and still makes boost well, no problem. I don't think they will crap out soon. I had some stockers making that noise for over a year and they never crapped out. And I ran the piss out of them at 25psi taper to 21psi making 500whp with MMP high flow inlets.
