335xi badge slants??
i have a 335xi coupe and I've noticed that the badge isn't placed like it is on any other 3ers. I've compared it to 328i's 328xi's 335i's and 335xi's. My badge slants with the slope of the trunk. Its supposed to be straight and to the left of the tail light, mine is above the tail light.
**UPDATED with pics** By the way I bought the car new, anyone had an experience like this?? Last edited by hov333; 03-24-2008 at 08:30 PM.. |

I assume you mean the letters are tilted to the right slightly (as in the font)? Not that the bottom line of all the letters are crooked?

Looks like it was rebadged..... and seeing the Herb Chambers plate frame make it even more suspicious!

Quote:
Chambers is known to screw up badges after body work. It took them 72 days to fix my E55 AMG and at the end, they couldn't even put the badges on right. When I went to pick up my car, it was missing the E55 on the trunk, the AMG is crooked, and the V8 Kompressor on the sides only reads "Kompressor" with the V8 missing. It was so bad that I politely, but firmly asked the shop manager to take it back to the shop and completely debadge it.

Did you track your order the whole time? It's common practice that they would repair or replace damaged body panels before delivery and not disclose it to the customer until you ask about it.

looks really bad...wrong place, not straight, and is the x floating up about 1/4 inch? take a straight edge...they should all line up perfectly. That's not even close.

Not to mention the badges are at the wrong place of the trunk.

i did track the car, i do remember the website telling me its arrived but my SA said that it was at the warehouse or whatever. That took a couple of days and then it basically arrived at the dealer and they prep'ed it basically the same day.
I'm gonna head to Dick's autobody and have them check it out. thats bullshit if they replaced my trunk or something, and the rebadged it.. Lol now that i think of it, no wonder why i have to almost slam the trunk to close it! goddamn it Last edited by hov333; 03-24-2008 at 10:39 PM.. |
