No air from vents
My a/c stopped producing cold air a while ago and I've been lazy getting it sorted. Anyway, today I get no air at all from any vents even whilst driving along. All the front controls and display work fine but no fan and no air. I'm thinking of checking the fuse for the fan first but trying to decode the stupid bit of card BMW provide in the fuse box is a bit like trying to decode hieroglyphics. Does anyone know the relevant fuse number(s) for the heater and fan?
I've just tried fuses 6, 77 & 88 and they're fine. Last edited by half Colin; 06-10-2016 at 04:07 PM.. |

Checked all the fuses I could think of and they were all fine.
Still no air whatsoever as the fan definitely wasn't working. So, after watching this very useful Youtube video, I checked the fan controller and it works fine. Ah, must be the fan itself so I removed it but thought I would just try it one more time. Put the controller back in the fan, connected it all up and lo and behold it works again! Weird - must have been a dry connection or something. Anyway, happy days - just need to sort out the a/c now. |
