LUX bulbs

Hi all,
I'm really sorry to start a topic that's been done to death but I'm struggling to understand what I need - I'm actually finding that loads of information is too much!
I want to replace my stock Angel eye bulbs on my 2009 E91 (with Xenon).
Im confused by the different ratings of the bulbs.... it seems that (correct me if wrong), the higher the output, the brighter the light and more potential of them looking blue - is that right?

I simply want white and not bright so should I be looking at the lower rated ones?
Around 65000?

The higher the number, the more the color changes and less light. 4300k is factory, brighter and pure white. 6000k has an icy blue to it. By 800k it starts turning purplish.

Most go 4300k or 6000k.

The Kelvin rating is colour temperature, higher the number the bluer it gets.

Lumens is light output.

is there much difference in colour between 6000k and 6500k bulbs?
The LUX H8 V3 seem popular and they are 6500k

Sorry to keep on.....
Is there a direct halogen HID replacement or is only way LUX and spend a small fortune?!

Do products like this cause problems?

So is the general consensus that it's expensive bulbs or nothing then?

The LUX LED bulbs are a lot of money but better than errors lights on dash if that's the alternative!

I was looking into these the other day but am put off by the high price. It does seem however that the LUX H8 are the ones to go for and nobody seems to have issues with them like they do with the cheaper alternatives.

I am keen to go with the LUX H8 V5's as they have the adjustability on them and I don't want them too bright and would like them to look OEM. The new LUX H8 160's seem a little too bright for my e91.

I feel the same, I don't want anything too bright as want to keep it looking factory.
That's why I was looking at the V3's as they are only 6500k which I believe is white but not bright.

I'm still holding out for someone to say that there's a cheaper alternative but I don't think its going to happen........

How much are LUX bulbs these days? I know the guys on m3cutters tend to fit the MTEC bulbs and they are about £140

in fairness, I cant seem to find anywhere selling the V3 anymore - only the V5 which are circa £200.

ive just been looking at the MTEC versions and they seem ok, certainly cost wise compared to LUX anyway!

They are 7000k so brighter than I was previously looking at but hopefully not too bright.

Has anyone had any experience with these?
