Any way possible to make the n54 sound like a n55?
Is there any way to make the n54 sound like a n55? I have a n54 with catless dps and PE mod and it sounds no where near as good as a 435i with some exhaust with titanium tips when it rolled past me at the Star's underground carpark and it just crackled gunshots like no tomorrow

I think theres a thread on this in the main forums. They're trying to re-create the crackles/gunshots on the n54 through the MHD app.

No. Full stop. Never gonna happen.
The MHD option gives crackles, pops and over-run gurgles, which is what everybody wants, but the pops are nothing compared to the viciousness of the N55 sounds. All the videos people have been posting are really disappointing to me but everyone is so hyped over it. Guess I'll have to try it myself soon! But saying you modded your N54 with MHD/all kinds of exhaust work and saying it sounds like an N55 is like saying you gave Sharon Osbourne a makeover and she goes and looks like Miranda Kerr lol |

What is the actual difference between the two that makes them sound so different.
Must be the downpipes or before that. Plus software Last edited by EB89; 06-18-2016 at 08:31 PM.. |

Just tried it in a underground carpark. Sounds very close to a crackling n55! especially with with the anti wastegate rattle enabled.
aggressive/3sec stock exh/ catless downpipes / e85 I find the race flash with 98 fuel is louder than e85 flash.

Been running MHD with the exhaust burbles for the last few days. Definitely a huge difference!!! If you're sitting on the fence about getting MHD, this should do it
You can adjust duration and how harsh the crackles and pops are too. "Hard" is the maximum aggressiveness and it's pretty much too hectic to run.

In order to get it, you'll need to sign up for beta. There's a link for it somewhere...lemme look for it!

Here you guys go Opt in, then update MHD through the Play store and you'll be able to flash a beta map with the option of exhaust burbles

Excuse the shitty iPhone audio, its much louder in person, I think its mostly recording the noise from a vent behind it.
