What the current weight of your street/track car?
I thought with all my weight saving measures, that I would be pretty light compared to stock...unfortunately, I didn't get a baseline reading.
2005 BMW 330i: After... ...replacing both stock power seats with Sparco fixed back buckets... ...mostly stripping out behind the front seats (sound deadening still on there)... ...replacing stock 18s with ltw 17s... ...replacing stock suspension with aftermarket (may have added a few pounds actually)... ...going on a diet... ...the car weighs...*drumroll please* FREAKING 3300 POUNDS!!! Although, that's with me in the car, a full tank of gas, and the rear seats sitting in the car. I'm still trying to find ways to lose weight, but it seems like at this point, I have to either just turn the car into a complete track rat, or go superballerexpensiveparts. What's your car's current weight and the stuff you did to cut the pounds? Man, I'm beginning to think power is the better alternative. ![]() |

Not horrible, but still heavy. If I can get it to 3000 with me+full tank, I'd be one happy camper.
Catback exhaust and some other suspension replacements might get me down to 3200. I don't know, maybe I'll just whip out the dry ice, hammer random things, and cut random stuff out and drill holes in random places. |

Damn...that's pretty light.
Mine with me (160lbs) and some crap in the trunk (probably 40lbs) is 3,835 lbs (heavy mo-fo), ah and just over a 1/4 tank of gas. I'm curious how the other 335i's are in the 3600 lb bracket...how did you do that? LF 946 lbs = 24.6% RF 974 lbs = 25.3% LR 972 lbs = 25.3% RR 943 lbs = 24.5% Now my racecar is a lil lighter at 2116 lbs. FL 719 lbs RF 679 lbs LR 365 lbs RR 343 lbs

I should probably get mine corner weighted... Even with acid dips and crazy weight loss, I doubt my E46 can go to 2116! What's your racecar again? |

Ok, here's detailed data
LF 941 RF 934 LR 865 RR 898 This is with my butt in the car. For track use: Camber: LF: -3.5 RF: -3.5 LR: -2 RR: -2 Toe is zero in front and 3/16 total in the back. Caster is around 9.0 in front. With that much camber, the outside front edges of the tires are in perfect shape. |
