Need advice

I have E90 335i 2011 with afe intake. I bought UR strut bar i couldnt install it because the afe box is to high, so i went back to the stock bar. Someone told me to install the stock M3 bar and it will work. From the look they look almost the same so is there any difference between them.

the cross bar link on M3 set mount little higher which might be enough to clear the aFe box.
