Try Collie Buddz, he is a white raggae singer from Bermuda. Very good in my opinion!

if you like real reggae music like Bob Marley you should also try Dennis Brown, The Might Diamonds and Luciano. Not really reggae /more like modern dance hall but good would be Sean Paul and Shaggy.

I consider this to be my favorite music genre.
For traditional reggae: Barrington Leavy Black Uhuru Burning Spear Steel Pulse Toots and the Maytals A couple must have's are: Greagory Isaacs Peter Tosh Jimmy Cliff Those last three are absolute must haves for any reggae collection. More new era reggae artists i like include: Ritchie Spice Damian Marley Collie Budz Sean Paul Elephant Man Shaggy those are all of my favorites. Get them and I dont think you'll be disappointed.

Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaacs, if you have a lady with you.
Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff standards. Black Uhuru, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse have been around forever, hit or miss, IMO. Some awesome, some so-so. I always enjoy Ziggy Marley. Big Youth's A Luta Continua (The Struggle Continues) is one of my favorites. Marley's 4 CD Box set is a good buy. You'll hear songs you've never heard before (probably), and they're arranged chronologically. Check the racks/search for reggae compilations. When you find a song you like, buy the album and other albums from that artist. Avoid Dred Zeppelin. It's a 300 pound Elvis impersonator who does/did reggae versions of Zeppelin songs. |
