motor mounts?

Looking to replace my motor mounts with those from the 335is.
Anyone know who's got the best price?

Hey, this thread may be helpful. Rein 335is mounts are the most affordable option, available from ECS

ty sir. I need diff mounts too and see ECS sells the M3 front diff mounts for the 335 as an upgrade. Guess I have to stick with oem for the rear diff mount? Not interested in poly or solid. I haven't been on this forum for a while so don't know if there's any harder rubber options out now.
This may interest you: one of my rear shocks is leaking oil. I haven't had this suspension that long. Bought it brand new from a private party on this forum, so no warranty replacement for me
Also, Meyle HD front sway links aren't all that HD as one of the boots has sheared already. Got to love California roads...rant

curious why the 335is mount. What makes them better? Less NVH or some other benefit?

I read a long time ago the rubber durometer is a bit harder on the 335is motor mounts; maybe it was only one side? I should verify p/n's. This can wait. My diff bushings look worse so that's first.

Yes, only one is different on the 335is DTC, not the 335is MT I think. You should look into diff brace or lockdown kit. Is a lot easier and also cheaper than replacing the bushings to truly complement the LSD.

It's been a long time since I looked at any of those things. My diff bushings are cracking and need to be replaced soon. What's the difference between the two and don't they increase nvh?

Increase in NVH with both is very minimal. More with the plate/bracket than the kit. Kit is better for stock suspension components because still allows some movement, plate does not. Is explained very nicely on n54tech. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=181
Just last week at the shop we installed a plate on track oriented 135i with LSD but trashed OEM diff mounts. I advised to leave the bushings and just mount the plate. The results are amazing.

Sucks to hear about the leaking shocks, I hope mine will last longer than that.

I replaced my diff bushings with powerflex poly when I replaced my subframe bushings back in the day. I don't have LSD and I have no complaints regarding NVH or otherwise. Its a modest upgrade. These lockdown kits that have since surfaced seem like an interesting option though. Also, can't go wrong with sticking to the OE stuff as just maintenance.
