Hexon RR600 with time slip and log

Finally got a chance to test out these turbos at the strip. Temperature was around 95degrees DA around 2200ft. Either the track wasn't prep right or I'm lacking skills, my 60ft was horrible.

My supporting mods are fuel it TBI, Vishnu lpfp, hexon inlets, vrsf 7inch, ms downpipe, and wedge performance rr600 e60 base map. I'm getting throttle closure and minor timing corrections at high rpm, waiting for ken to come back from vacation for revise map.

http://www.datazap.me/u/bboiaznhotma...og=0&data=4-21

Overall I'm very happy with these turbos, put around 1000 miles on it with no issues(knock on wood), hope they last as they advertised. I ordered it from Chris at boostconcept, when I received my turbos with no wastegate on them I was mad as Hell!:mad0260Emailed him right away and flamed at him, but he responded quick and nicely to solve the problem, ended up received my wastegate the next day. I highly recommend ordering from him if you're planning to purchase these turbos

Nice. Not bad for a base map, but plenty of room to improve. Your fuel trims have a crazy spread. Bank 2 is pegged +34% on one of the logs. Even when bank 2 is only at +%15-22, bank 1 is then -12 to -8%. Poor fuel distribution from the TBI? Whatever it is, bank 1 is getting way more fuel than 2. Seems like there's room for better spool too and it is boosting over target in some spots, but I didn't see any throttle closures on the logs.

ETs and traps will improve as you and the tune get some time under your belts. Looking forward to the next results...

I assume your RWD? That's a bit rough on the 60ft. Tires? I have similar mods as you right down to inlets and RR600's. Have not had the chance to dyno or track yet but hopefully I will improve upon my stock snails and no inlets as of last year.

lol at your 60' but decent traps. but you need to work on your launch. should be around mid-high 11's with a decent <2.0 60' and fixin your throttle closures and timing drops

I agree with the lower 60ft for strong times. I went 12.0 at 114mph. 122mph should be 11.6-.8

Thanks. Ignore that log with my fuel trim that went +34% I was running the Cobb stage 2+ tune and had problem with my Vishnu pump not turning on, but I got it fixed now.

Regarding the fuel trim variance, i think you're absolutely right about the uneven TBI fuel distribution, I'm going to see if there's a possible way to close the fuel trim spread without changing my TBI setup.

Yea, RWD e90. I'm was running on 275 Michelin PS2.
How do you like your new setup? I love these turbos pull so hard from 4000rpm to redline.

Haha, I know and I'm kinda embarrassed posting my time slip, but wants to let people know what these turbos are capable of. I was consistently running 2.1 60ft and trapped 113-115 couple years ago when I had my stock turbo and some RE-11's.

Yeah I love the 600's! Anxious to get on a dyno and a track to compare to my stock FBO set up. Enjoy!

If your going to go to the drag strip, put a real tire on the car. Fighting the launch gets old quick. Add traction, then add power. Saves headaches. Get a dedicated set of cheap 17" wheels and put some drag radials on them.

It was hot and your elevation would slow you up a bit.

Being in 95 heat i bet you would have had starting temps of atleast 120f.

If it was cooler you would get better mph.

Dont worry about your times i have mid 500hp and got best of 13.0

If your car is an Auto, launch in 2nd gear. This is the only way I launch Auto cars on low(er) traction surfaces. On a prepped track with drag radials you can launch in 1st gear as per "normal".

How to:

M/S mode > one click to 2nd gear > torque brake till the turbo's just start coming up on boost (rear of car will start squatting) > release brake and progressively feed in throttle to avoid kick down.

I bought my rr600 over 3 months ago and still don't have them. How long did they take for you to get the turbos?

Almost 2 and a half month, and mine didn't come with the wastegate actuators pre installed like yours.

So they still haven't replace the wrong rr500 they sent you?

If you want to avoid the kick-down, you can cut a small piece of wood that stops the pedal even with the top of the kick-down button. Use double sided tape to attach it to the base of the pedal. The pedal position sensor reaches 100% before the kick-down button so you still have full throttle.
