Window wont roll up

2009 bmw 328i

rolled down passenger side window today and when I rolled it up heard a loud pop, window will now go down but wont go back up, funny thing is I can hear the motor going but the window wont move up. tried pulling the window up by hand and I can move it both up and down so I figured it was off the track.

pulled the door panel off and the window is on the track, no sign of damage. noticed that one of the cables was slack so I followed it best as I can, cable appears to loop down and forward and as best that I can tell it goes into the regulator still. given what I see it appears to be a broken regulator, if so do I use my extended warranty (100 deductible) or replace it myself.

any thoughts would be appreciated

after doing some research I answered my own question, looks like one of the clips broke. Does anybody have a write up on how to replace?

It's not hard, you almost don't even need a guide. There are videos out there, search youtube.
