Paint expert please help!!!

Hi

Back in 2007 Mar, I brought my Jet Black E90 335i at Assael BMW Monrovia. my brand new car sent to Seidner's Collision Centers to so a paint service because there was a 1.5inch scratch on the right rear door.

after all, the scratch was removed and the paint looks fine but after a year now, i polished my car then i found out the paint with my OEM paint are totally different.

It looks like the collision center just remove the OEM clear coat instead of paint it.

Please help!!!

Your paint comes with some type of warr as well. When my dad bought his RR it had some sort of oil under the clear. End result without pulling teeth was a brand new RR.

I would be nice but firm.

Thats complete bs.

Best of luck.

The whole door was repainted and they obviously used normal black and not BMW JET BLACK!!!

Are those untouched photos?

I swear there's two different color paints on the two doors. If so, I'm surprised you couldn't see that from the get go.

same color but i believe the coat has been removed by the collision center because they tried to remove a scratch on the door.

i am surprised too cuz i wasn't able to see the difference from the get go but after i polished my car....it can be really easy to see under the sun light

This thread backed up what I said about not taking all the scratches out by buffing it completely out. It's better to leave the scratch or buff it a little as long as you don't take the clear down too thin.

I dunno it looks like some overspray to me!!
I honestly think they repainted the door the wrong color! Ive seen it happen several times in my area!! Bmw paint has to be the right mixture or there will be slight variations in color thats why most collision centers have to be bmw certified!!!

The photos look retouched. I mean, how can you not see that is a two-toned BMW now?

Doesn't seem like they matched your color...which is BS! I'd go and complain up the ladder.
