Recommended DME Firmware?

Hello,

Getting ready to take possession of a 2011 335xi, M-sport, 6-speed. Not sure of the FW version on the DME, but is there a latest version which is recommended?

I'm also running a JB4-G5, added within last 12-14 months.

even if you have an older FW version, wouldn't you have to pay the dealer to upgrade?

98G0B is the newest firmware that still allows flashing currently.

is there a DIY guide or do you have to bring it in to the dealer?

Look up flashing the PPK. Same concept. There was a how-to around somewhere. I paid a guy to do mine remotely.
