Trunk will not open with key, key fob
I have checked the fuses and they are good, valet switch is in the unlock position, doors will lock and unlock with the key fob and button in the car, but the trunk will not unlock or open. I tried the key on the trunk lid and it will only turn ¼ revolution and will not unlock the trunk. 2006 325i

I do not have the key option on my 2011, but if you search for some other posts on this same topic, I believe many others have reported that the key is really hard to turn in the lock. You might need to try and turn it a little harder.

And the boot/trunk release button by your knee on the driver's side, does that not open it either? Have never had to unlock with the key, but I don't think it should be so hard to turn, however, if other, as above, say it is, then maybe it is. Hope you get it sorted out!!
