Jlevi SW | Now Accepting Deposits for Vorsteiner E92 Vented Race Hood

After months of R&D and working closely with customers on enthusiast forums, Jlevi SW was able to come up with a unique and original design for a vented race hood for the E92 and E93. This hood would feature no power dome, but instead a vent to dissipate heat where the 3.5L motor needs it most - right above the turbochargers.

Because of our close partnership with Vorsteiner Technik, Jlevi SW was able to make this design a reality, and is happy to announce that it will be shipping to the first customers in mid May, 2008.
This hood is currently only available through JleviSW.com.

To reserve your spot, please select your options and submit your $250 deposit. JleviSW will contact you to collect additional funds for the hood itself, as well as shipping. Shipping is roughly $150 anywhere in the continental US. Please contact us for international shipping quotes.

All deposits are non-refundable.

To place your deposit, visit here:

Alternatively, you may call us toll free with any questions

Thanks guys!

So is the price $250 + shipping? What material is it made from?

The $250 is only for a deposit. It's just a portion of the cost of the hood when it's released.

First deposits are in...

Also, fixed the site, it will no longer charge tax or shipping (it will only charge $7.60, no way around that) for deposits!

Thanks

Jon,

Can you ask Vorsteiner about their solution to the hood shocks? I'd be interested in the hood if the stock hood shocks / E46 M3 shocks can be used. It seems that the E90 hoods do not have the appropriate receptacles for the stock hood shocks.

neither do the Powerdome e92 ones... There really is almost no way around unless you want to risk putting pressure on the CF hood and possibly bending/buckling it. Its just not worth it.. get a hood prop from pepboys, autozone, etc.

Yeah, that's almost sad for paying 1500+ for a double sided CF hood and you have to use hood prop on it...... I hope they come out with some kind of solution coz I want to keep mine looking as OEM as possible.
