Suspension Tools... any other option other than Koch?
Reposting this here from the main board since there are more DIY people here...
I don't mind paying for good tools, but $190 for the KT20451 to remove the rear bushings? ouch.... Anyone know of the same type of tools but a little more reasonable? |

I'd look at Harbor Freight and find a generic tool set.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Wanted to send a thanks out to you. Your thread led me to the Koch site to see the tool set you were talking about. I found Koch sells some nice threaded wheel mounting pins for $14 for a set of 2 EA. I ordered them Saturday and they arrived yesterday. Nice tool and great customer service. I've been looking for years for a nice mounting pin. A set of 2 for $14 is a good deal. Thanks again.

Actually, I'm going to look at a homemade route. Pelican parts showed collapsing the one busing with a heavy duty hose clamp. I've got enough sleeves and drivers that I should be able to put something together.
Time to get out the digital caliper and start measuring things. ![]() If I figure it out, I'll post a DIY. |

You can make your own tool. There are a few DIY's on how to do this. You could have a tool for under $50.00
