Exhaust valve - vacuum?
On the 335 there is a vacuum actuated throttle in the left silencer - but where does the vacuum come from? Is it fed all the way from the engine to the back of the car?
I'm retrofitting the exhaust to my 325d - but I need to find out if I should run the valve by vacuum or using a servo. |

There is, leaving it unplugged is what we call the "Golf Tee" mod. I offer no help with your problem since I'm not even sure myself where this vacuum line comes from or even how it's controlled. But if you leave it unplugged the flap will remain open constantly which is the way myself and many others run their 335's.

The vacuum line on a N55 comes from the valve cover right above the turbo and runs all the way back to the exhaust. N55s have a vacuum pump in the head that generates the vacuum for the wastegate and exhaust flap. Not sure if that helps.

So there is a vacuum pipe running all the way to the rear.. I have tried finding it on realoem - but I can only find a drawing of the pipe from the selenoid to the actuator. Do you by any chance know the part# for the long pipe? (Or a drawing of where it runs)
