Help! Just changed Valve cover Gasket --> Oil now leaking from Oil filter Housing!

Just changed my valve cover gasket. The gasket change went smooth and I follow all directions to a T. Oil is now leaking pretty rapidly from my oil filter (see pic) 2007 e90 335.

Pic is broken for me.

Sounds like you may have cracked the oil filter cap or tore the seal when installing it. Did you install a new seal or install a new filter cap? Did you lube the seal before installing the cap? How did you tighten the cap (wrench, torque wrench, by hand, etc)? Did you seat the cap all the way down?
