I had a number of glow plug errors on my 330d LCI around 18 months ago.

I bought 6 new glow plugs and a module to address this. On fitting the Glow Plugs, my Indy said the module was fine and this wasn't replaced. All faults were cleared.

I've just checked my fault codes and I now have 4A6F combustion preheating control unit output stage cylinder 6 faulty.

Is this likely to a module fault or a glow plug fault?

The glow plugs were changed at 55k approx and the car is now on 78k.

Sounds like just on cylinder 6 as that what is says. If the was the module, would you not get a fault on all 6?

And also generally it seems like the N57 does get no where near the amount of glow plug module failures like the M57 does.

You wouldn't always get the fault. I had a glow control unit fault and 2 glow plug faults. Changed the control unit, cleared the codes and the glow plug faults didn't return.

Thanks Chaps. Is it likely that Bosch glow plugs would die in 20ish thousand miles?

Surely if you bought 6 glow plugs and the module why would the Indy not fit the module?? Get it changed and see where you are at.
