How to make Galaxy S7 work with iDrive?

I got a samsung galaxy s7 and im trying to work fully with the iDrive system. Im assuming I need a software update in order for it to be fully compatible. Where do i go and what do i do to make it fully compatible. Thank you!

It is CIC and for example music name and artists wouldnt pop up on the screen when the music is playing. The music would pop up on older generation samsungs like the note 5 or the galaxy s4.
