Craig's e92 335d m sport
Firt post here so little info, I'm Craig, 23 from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, I've owned my 335d now 6 months, but due to working away a lot, I havnt really done much to it,
The car was bought private, poorly advertised, not presented very well (water marks everywhere when I came to view), but had been very well looked after with good service history. It already had black grills (matte), m3 lip, tinted windows and genuine 313 wheels, but I would be giving it my own personal touch shortly. First job was to give it a good clean ![]() Already looks 10x better ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I owned the car approx 12hours before my mate mapped it, (owns an exhaust and mapping company). On went the private plate and then was detailed; much better ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now comes the part I enjoy, I really like carbon on black cars, it's subtle but stands out just enough, so my mate does hydro dipping, he said he had some grills done in carbon and would be ready in a few days, so aswell as carbon grills, I placed an order for some carbon mirror covers, carbon bmw performance rear spoiler, bmw performance rear diffuser which will either go carbon or gloss black, unfortunately he's very slow and still don't have my grills, which is why I'm debating going gloss black on the rear diffuser. So I'm waiting on grills, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, and I've also got some red tint coming to 'lci' the rear lights, I know there not nice led lights but it will do for now. Mirror pics; ![]() ![]() They were from eBay from Germany, fit is good from what you can see, the underside fit isn't as good, but who looks at the underside of the mirrors anyway? The top side nice and tight with the join line so overall impressed. Going away again with work tomorrow for a few days then the rest of the carbon will be going on, then it's booked in for a full service next Friday. More updates to come, Craig |

Looks great mate.
Only thing that looks odd to me (and always seems to on pre-lci cars) is the 313's. They just don't seem to sit right. Perhaps they need spacers and some lower springs? Got any mods planned? ![]() |

Yeah I'm not sold on the 313's, plus they need a refund and that's why I've held of getting them refurbed. Some h&r springs maybe and different wheels but we ll see

Half day at work today so got some time to fit my new carbon spoiler and grills 👍
50/50 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The spoiler looks big compared to what I'm used to, however I'm sure it will grow on me, and one I get the more aggressive looking performance rear diffuser on it should suit a little better 👍 Tomorrow car is getting a good wash then going to mod the paddle shifters so left changes down and right changes up and get rid of the push function 👍 |

Welcome aboard and nice motor.
Liking the mods so far. The high kick will grow on you for sure. As for the 313's I personally think they are the best OE rim and I ran them for quite sometime. I ran 10mm spacers front/rear though and thought they looked spot on.

Some slightly better updated photos
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The 313 wheels are a nice wheel and easy to maintain, however I just don't think they suit the car, or how I want the car to look, I would sell them but I just don't know if it is worth as they are bubbling and kerbed, but they are genuine. I plan to lower on some h&r springs and some slightly more aggressive wheels after the winter. Still waiting for my performance rear splitter, don't know whether to go gloss black or find somewhere to dip it in carbon, but I think the spoiler will look better once it has a slightly more aggressive rear diffuser. |

I think the 313's look great and are the best OEM wheels by far for the e92, but if they aren't going to suit what you want to do I'm sure they will get snapped up quickly if you put them up for sale.
I do love black cars, but the stress of keeping them swirl free was to much for me lol. |

They are a nice wheel but I may put them up for sale, no idea what they are worth though?
And yes, I do try to keep it as good as possible, however sometimes it's just unavoidable |

So little update, I got pulled for my number plates and their illegal spacing, so I had to order some with correct spacing, while I was ordering I decided to go for short plates, still legal however I think they look slightly more aggressive and suit the car with the other new mods
![]() ![]() While I liked the lci 313 wheels, they just wasn't getting me exited, and with them needing a refurb, I kept my eye out for a new set, which I found and managed to get a good deal on, some csl reps in gloss black, they have been polished up so they are real glossy. I think they look well on the car. I do think the car could do with dropping a touch, to match the aggressive look, just on some lowering springs, however going to leave it for now. The pictures aren't great as lighting was bad, but for now... ![]() ![]() ![]() I also got my performance rear diffuser, and sent it off to wicked coatings to be hydro dipped in carbon. Couple of weeks later I have it back and on the car, it's subtle, but the finish is sublime and really glad I waited the extra couple of weeks to be dipped. ![]() ![]() |
