Drove a M6... hard

Wow that thing goes!!! fast as hell. if M3 steering is "light" like M6 im happy for sure!
something that rev's past 7k RPM is insane IMO. very nice. put it in 3rd and go like 90-100 sounds amazing. Engine is just nice.

i think i hit like 160... I couldnt tell anymore. that's the fastest i have ever done in my life, it was scary

anyway, here's my question, it's a SMG Stage III I believe, how do you guys launch that?
i put MDM, hardest EDC (sport), 500hp Sport. Rev'd it to 2000 RPM then slammed it. is this the best it can do? i mean it almost broke my neck, but is there something I can do to improve it?

fast car! im impressed, maybe not by the 13 mpg it's got tho

this is a photoshop Dr. Phuonger did of Minipuck V2.0 (both california E90Post members). i put it in my avi to play with Minipuck, since i mostly post in socal chat thread

There is a launch control sequence you have to do. Im not sure what it is for SMG III but if you search you shall find it!

Personally i find launch control useless though since BMW logs everytime you use launch control and if you use it too many times, they may void your tranny warranty if something goes wrong down the line. Plus launch control only lets you rev to 2000rpm in the US so its essentially useless because you can do as you did and just brake torque up to 2000 and go. No crazy sequence to initiate or any buttons to push.

the smg is only limited in europe no like on the m3 csl. you can only use 5 times and your warranty is void. but since US has regulations on having functions on cars with unlimited use, BMW lowered the launch RPM in the states to meet US regulations and lets us use it unlimited times.

ive never heard of the m5/m6 being the same. if they void warranty for using it too many times isn't that in terms of limiting a function that we are freely able to use?

back to topic. for the m6 you have to use launch control for the perfect launch. once active it will rev up and all you have to do is floor it and be prepared to shift
