Hey guys,

Is it safe to make the switch if I still have a 1/4 tank of 91 left? Meaning, can I fill up with 93 and switch to a 93 map? Reason for my asking is that I'm getting a FMIC installed tomorrow morning and I wanted to make the switch to the stage 1+ and 93 all in one fell swoop since I currently have stage 1, 91 because I didn't know that I had a gas station close to me that had 93 octane. I wasn't able to get my gas all the way down, hence the dilemma. I just want to make sure it's safe.

Thoughts? Thank you!

Just wait until you're empty if you want to be safe.

Yea...that's what I was thinking, too. Now I gotta run down 1/4 tank after the fmic install, fill up with 93 and then do the map flash. It would have been so convenient at the auto shop to do it all at once.

Do you still live in Rockville? If so, what gas station close to you doesn't have 93?

I live in a high-rise by Target on Rockville Pike and my closest gas station is Shell and I am pretty sure that I was filling up with 91. I will now switch to Sunoco across from Hooters since they carry 93. Where else did you find 93?

I don't think I've seen a gas station in MD not have 93...unless it's like, a random shitty Wawa or something. Even still, there always seems to be a station with 93 across the street from one that doesn't have it, etc.
