Best price for tyres?
Hi all,
Wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of somewhere I can pick up the following tyres for less than Blackcircles (£660 fitted) 2 x Rear: Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT 2 255/30 R19 Y (91) A/C/69 2 x Front: Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT 2 225/35 R19 Y (88) A/C/68 Blackcircles also have a "buy now pay nothing for 6 months" option so if there's anything similar or interest free i'd be keen to find out about it!

I'd look at the following:
Tyre Leader Camskill http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/ My Tyres National Tyres http://www.oponeo.co.uk/ |

I was looking at the same thing - found that Halfords now have their own Autocentres!
Looking at mine, I found they were cheaper than Black Circles or Etyres. So much so, rather than buying 2 Pirelli for the rear, as one of the fronts is down to 4 mil (other is a little better), I've considered a full set of Falkens. Worth checking out - http://www.halfordsautocentres.com/tyres

GabeS thanks for helping nonetheless! Yeah the car as I bought it has "Accelera" fronts and some other random brand on the rears. As they're not RFTs and I don't want to buy RFTs I'd like to stick with some premium tyres, don't want to run any risks as she's my daily driver and pride and joy!
Going for the dunlop as they seem to have a good balance of user reviews, low cabin noise, feedback and wet grip performance for the money. Anybody have experience of using these particular ones? |

Black circles still looks pretty good, I can get club card points and 1.5% cashback through quidco, plus the buy now pay nothing for 6 months option
Oponeo tempting as I can get 4 months interest free using paypal. Just need to find a tyre fitter who will fit for a reasonable price National tyres...thats a scandalous price. Don't like them anyway. Went into store and they were rude and dismissive.

Seems a lot of money. I'm sure i paid about £650 for 4 MPSS and fitting. Got the tyres from Oponeo and then got my local tyre fitter to fit em.
Not knocking the Dunlops, but i thought the MPSS were the most expensive of the R19 tyres (MPSCup2's and AD08R's exempt!) |

The did come out top in a few reviews you're 100% right, black circles have the MPSS listed for £205 each for the rears but the latest generation is MPSS4 and bc don't specify which generation they're selling - might have to contact them to find out
Also I didn't opt for the MPSS as they're rated lower for noise and fuel economy

Tyre shopper - £630 fitted after 5% discount and 3% cashback - the irony; they're fitted at National Autocentre..

I don't like the way this is progressing... this is like saying "I've now moved to be half as far from work as I was, therefore I DON'T need to buy a V8!!" |
