What can I do with my old RFT?

I have bought continental DWS6 because I noticed a bubble on my passenger front tire :| and I just got this damn car two weeks ago lolol

Anyway, the other three look pretty good, I haven't checked the thread but when I washed last week they looked... Good:

What can I do with these? Do people buy them? can I take them to a tire store and get SOME cash?

Thanks for any info

You can try to resell them. Try selling all 4. Some people who have leases and have to return car with "good" tires equivalent of what came with the car (read RFT) might have use for them. Why spend $1000+ on tires on a car which you will be returning?

Keep them. I did. If you get a flat can get towed home and replace with run flat, possibly a pair. For road long trips carry one in place of a donut.

I tossed mine on Friday....there have to be some limits as far as hoarding goes, my entire shed is filled with rims and tires! 235/40-18's from my Nissan. Two sets of good tires and rims, only 1/4 missing. That was thanks to my then g/f (now wife) banging one up. I'm done with hoarding so called still good tires, I mean how much money are we talking about anyway...I mean my wife's cousin picked up 3 OZ Superleggerra sized for a GTI. Tried to sell on eBay and just said F it and left them at the curb. Sure enough, they were gone in an hour. Perfectly good, but only 3. One man gathers what another man spills.

Ha?

That was just an example. It doesn't need to be a lease.

But this would be a situation that people might face:

haha where'd you come from, and welcome! I actually never used Craig's List so I didn't realize there were "issues." But a coworker bought some snows for his 325i (they must have been off a 330/335 zsp), and he said the dude was a psycho, good thing he didn't meet him at either party's home....

After he said that I started to pay attention to the incidents...

I always meet people from craigslist at my local police station. Nobody's going to try something funny there. If anyone wants to do something shady they won't show up, otherwise they'll know you're not a psycho.

The police station is a half mile from my house, so it happens to be the most convenient public place for me to meet people anyway. But even if it were farther, that would still be my craigslist policy. Almost everyone who I've sold stuff to at that police station have said they liked the idea.

I'd rather be a living chicken than a dead/kidnapped/robbed macho craigslist seller.
