What suspension do I have?
Looking at some new shocks and springs for my 335i. Looking round, I can see setups for M-Sport and non-MSport.
My car is an SE, but has option 226 -SPORTS SUSPENSION SETTING. Does this mean that it has the standard suspension, or the M-Sport suspension? Thanks chaps. |

The Bilstein B12 is a decent bit of kit. It lowers the front slightly more than the M-Sport (rears are pretty much identical) but from what I've heard the ride is a lot less crashy than the M-Sport setup.
I upgraded from SE suspension so there was a bigger difference in my case.

It's reduced a lot but the SE was very bouncy anyway, but that's an understatement! Hardly any diving on braking or lifting when on the gas. Hopefully someone who upgraded from M-Sport suspension can comment.

Never installed the B12 myself. I'd expect that the ride is firmer but more controlled resulting in a more pleasurable driving experience. The crashy-ness is what makes the stock suspension suck imo.
I can't imagine it would be worse than half worn stock suspension + run flats. |
