Stumbling Idle

So this just started on Thursday and I'm kind of at a loss on what to do next. I already replaced the MAP sensor, decarbon the intake manifold and throttle body replaced coils and plugs... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately I don't have a scan tool to do that? Do you recommend someone that can do it?

Is it a rough idle? Does the engine shake erratically when it does that? I had a similar thing happen to me and it was bad injectors.

No it's not a rough idle. It sometimes corrects itself if i let it idle for a while. It got better when I replaced the coils and spark plugs but it's still there. Very annoying when sitting in traffic or next to a mustang at a red light thinking I'm trying to race him. No misfires under full throttle pulls like a champ just the idle is driving me nuts.

Have you tried reading codes?

I have a Schawben scan tool that is capable of adaptation resets. Located in Downey also.

Never stalled it almost wants to shut off though but it catches itself and eventually smooths itself out. It pulls hard through all gears and after pushing it hard it will idle fine for a bit and then the idle starts to stumble. It's never consistent either the stumbling will start very light, get heavy then light again and if left sitting long enough it will fix itself

Every bmw owner should get scan tool expecially if they are out of warranty.

I had the exact same problem. Its the injectors. I was not getting any codes either. After i got 6 new index 12 injectors and got them coded, the problem was fixed.

Is there a way to test the injectors?
