White residue on coral red seats

all,

today after my girlfriend and I got back from a cafe for lunch i noticed a white residue on the seat back of the passenger seat. I tried to brush it off but it wouldn't come off. After wiping it down with a damp papertowel i can see some of the residue is still there, you have to look closely but it is still there.

Being that it wiped away it eliminates the possibility of bleach being on the back of my girlfriends fleece (and her jack was odorless). I have no idea what this substance is or how I should remove it.

Any help you guys can offer up is greatly appreciated!

And lotion only gets on the seatback if shes upside down in the front seat.
