Helpon headlight bulbs etc....
Help guys - Hope this the correct place to post :-/
I have a 2011 3 series, the car doesn't have HD lights, and the stock bulbs in particular are a very dim orange. I'm would ideally like to upgrade the bulbs so that the Angel eyes are a bit brighter & white. Following that I would like to upgrade the main lights to match the colour tone. Is there a way of doing this without having to add HD balasts etc.. I know this is not going to be as sucseful as adding a full HD pack but I can't be doing with the hassle of fitting balasts etc.. Here's a picture of the rear of the front Valeo light cluster, what would be the best upgrade? According to the barcode on my light units the bulbs are listed as: H7 H7 PY24W H10W (Confused because that is a Xenon bulb right?) |

In the picture you posted there are 2 major things shown. On the left is the a motor, and on the bottom right with the white connector is the angel eye bulb. Its a special bubl that BMW made so you wont be able to find it in any automotive store.
There are a number of pre-made LED aftermarket angel eye bulbs for this and you will need one specially designed for the LCI Halogen headlights. I would recommend going to the vendor section of the forum, and we also offer one called the LUX E90 LCI Halogen V2. Please take a look in my signature to the link for it and feel free to let me know if you have any questions |

Thanks for the reply, sorry I don't really want to be ordering anything from the USA if I can help it. These may well not be the best but they appear to be available from Amazon UK. https://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-E90-Fac.../dp/B00O01P7DA Also http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/bmw-20w...led-angel-eyes And extreme 40watts http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/oem-led...led-angel-eyes Last edited by gremlyng; 09-22-2016 at 07:44 PM.. |
