Question about the cooling system

Just got a call from my mechanic, and they're wanting to charge $1300 to replace the cooling fan in my car($780 for the fan with the motor, $100 diagnostic, $85 Cooling Fan Module, and the rest in other parts and labor. No way, FCP Euro shipped me the part in 2 days for $650. However, I cannot find the cooling fan module ANYWHERE. Anybody got experience with this and can direct me to where I can get this part? Thanks!

I'm sure I can eventually find it but what p/n do you seek for cooling fan module?

Does p/n mean part number? If so, I don't have a part number. I've been trying to find one but I cannot find a single thing. I bought the cooling fan(Part number: 17428508253). I'd appreciate any help.

Have you looked at RealOEM.com?

yes, p/n is short hand for part number? I was hunting through pages in realoem.com as previous poster suggests and hadn't found it.

Easiest way to use that site is to enter in last 7 digits of VIN and it pulls up the menus that pertain to your car's specific build. I found radiator fan and shroud that goes on it too but didn't see the separate module. There is the possibility that the module is part of the fan assembly but please don't quote me as I'm guessing of this possibility.

I'm pretty sure you're right. I will be getting part numbers from my mechanic soon and will see wtf he is talking about.
