Track Day - Thunderhill
Hey folks. Here is some footage from a track day this week at Thunderhill, here in Northern California. It was HOT, about 100 degrees. For the most part my car did ok. In the afternoon sessions, toward the end of each 30 minute session, I could tell the car was not liking the heat. At the end of the front straight I could hit 120, but at the end of the session it was down to 105-110....I shut it down after that.
I haven't done too much to the car, except at JBD and I have B12 kit with the Eibach springs and the Hankook V12s. I liked the suspension set up, but the tires were just OK on the track. Might have been due to the heat. Overall, still a blast to drive on the track. My M-Sport can keep up with most everything with street tires, but a bunch of the other folks had track tires. I guess that's my next investment. Enjoy and don't make too much fun of my line! haha! ![]() |

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. I've often wondered why there aren't more enthusiasts tracking their 335d. I mean a 30min track session is whoa more fun than a ~12 second pass on straight stretch. The bulk of what I know about car control came from my years of hpde.
Keep it up!!! |

I've tracked the D a couple of time at Houston MSR, very HOT. Car performs great. Next track is going to be Texas world speedway.
I've done some brake work ( SS lines, slotted and vented rotors, Hawk HPS pads (highly recommended), high temp fluid) and put koni wheels with BF Goodrich g force rivals on. Next step is Bilstein pss9 and M3 control arms. This car will keep up with anything in and out of the corners and pull on a lot of cars. I love it |
