Just got some Zaino!

The Zaino stuff I ordered last week just came in!

I've never waxed or detailed before... so we'll see how it goes.
I didn't bother with the clay this time around because my car is only a couple months old and looks pretty clean.
I'll post some pictures when I'm done.

Zaino is the bomb. Did Zaino clay, ZPC, ZAIO, Z5, Z6 on my wife's 2004 mdx. Looks brand new. Did BMW hard wax on my 335i, and is not nearly as nice looking. I will wait a few months before I Zaino my car. Still have to get the car wash, ZFX, and Z8 or ZCS.

Sorry no pics of the MDX, too lazy after all of that work.

Anyhow, my new porter cable 7424 started smoking after a few hours of use and got really hot so autogeek sent me a return label and is sending a new one out.

Enough babbling, moral of story, I am a Zaino fan!

nice! Good luck!

you should have gotten the clay...even new cars have contaminants in the paint.

claying the car (even if its not zaino clay) will do nothing but help the look and durability of everything ur about to do. why not just get it out of the way?

explain to me how a claybar enhances the look and durability of a product?

well im guessing you dont know, but a clay bar is used to take out small contaminants that get stuck into the "pores" of the paint, which will not come out with washing. it does not make the product being used better looking, it gives the car's paint a more reflective, shinier surface due to the fact that there is nothing stuck inside of it to reflect light in a different way.

^^ Not to mention it makes the paint feel smooth as glass. I love that.

Agreed on the clay. If you are going through the trouble of multiple layers, you might as well start with the clay.

Can you elaborate? Is it because you'd be concerned about marring from using the clay? I think with enough lube and good technique, that shouldn't be a concern.

To clay or not to clay? That is the question...

Do you really need to clay if the car is only 3 months old?

How did your car get from Port Hueneme (VPC) to Riverside? THAT'S why you need to clay a new car.

Oh, and don't forget the wheels when you seal.

I think I'll try without claying the first time and will try it next time.
I ordered the clay (Z-18), Z-CS and Z-8, but it won't be here until next week.
I'll have to do with what I have now this weekend.
