Red Warning light and handbrake warning staying on..

Current replaced rear / front pads and discs with genuine items.
Also adjusted handrake. Then tried resetting the brake service schedule manually. Came up with a load of dashes for the mileage. Now I have brake warning light on all the time and get red warning car symbol when i put the key into the dash.
I didnt reset the service reminder immediatly after doing the brakes but I probably did 600-1000 miles before.
I woudnt have thought the break sensors were faulty.
Maybe it could be the handbrake switch after it was adjusted... im not sure...

Did you replace the brake sensors?
If yes, were they oem?
