Which one to choice for the XI: HR or KW coilover
I spent a few hours yesterday searching the forums for info on HR and KWv3 coilovers for the XI.
The HR costs less, but are you giving up anything in comparison? How easy to lower/raise in comparing the two products? How easy to adjust rebound and dampening in comparing the two? I use the car as a performance daily driver so I dont mind a stiffer ride and will track 4-8 times per year so I'd want to be able to readjust my setup for the track without having to turn the car upside down to do it if possible. Thanks in advance

Given that you are interested in adjusting the suspension beyond just the height, I would do the KW V3s. The H&R Street Performance system is only height adjustable with a progressive spring rate whereas the KW V3 is a more versatile system in that it is rebound and compression ajdustable. Both will offer similar levels of height travel, the V3s just allow you to adjust the performance characteristics as well.
With that said, both are fantastic systems and you cannot go wrong either way. I would personally do the KW V3s, I think you are getting more suspension for the price and it suits your personal needs a bit more. |

If you are tracking your car - you should be going with the V3's - the HR will not allow you to adjust the rebound dampening or anything of that sort. Its fairly easy to adjust a few clicks here and there - you can do it the morning before your event, or while out on the track you can continue to make adjustments. We just got more V3 xi's in stock ![]() |
