How to best prepare for Florida love bug season?

I have 3M clear bra, but I’m concerned about the radiator?

Anyone?

Any bug repellant that won't mess up clear bra?

You'd have to be driving at walk speeds for repellant to work, they can't smell your car when you smash into them at 80mph.

Pam seems to keep the paint slick so you can rinse their poor, mangled bodies off later.

Your clear bra's fine. Just wash 'em off within a couple of days. The clear bra is more resistant to lovebugs than the paint.

Icedog points out what I do during this time twice a year - just keep on them and don't let them sit on your paint for more than a couple of days. I get to mine after almost every drive. DON'T leave them on if you have to park in direct sun for the day or any extended period of time.

I always keep a good layer of sealant on my car and they don't get a chance to grab a hold of the paint between the sealant and the persistent maintenance.

I'm thinking about protecting kidney grill vents with fiberglass insect screen.
It will keep the radiator clean of little monsters.
