320d turbo refresh/upgrade

I'm considering swapping my turbo out as a prevantative measure more than anything. It's not showing any signs of failure, but it's done over 100k in the last 4 years, so it might be worth looking at.

I wondered whether to just buy a spare and send it for a refurb, or is there any point in maybe going for a bit of hybrid action if I plan on remapping, so it has the scope to go bigger??

Can anyone recommend anywhere? I was reading good things about NKK Turbos in Notts, but they seem to have dissapeared.

Well I wouldn't worry about it until you are definitely looking to swap it.

There are a few places you can get a reconditioned tub from and you then just send them your original one once removed to get the surcharge back. I can recommend a turbo company in the Mids that do reconditioned tubs for a reasonable price.

If definitely thinking to upgrade then you would need a spare to send to them. Turbo Dynamics are very reputable for doing staged upgrades on OEM tubs.
