Reliable wheel fitment reports
Ok, guys... i created this new thread to help all those who have no experience with wheels, tires, drop and rubbing or no rubbing issue.
When i was about to order new wheels i did a lot of research on the forum to find out which wheel sizes will work and which won't. I was always hoping to find a thread like this one, collecting reliable information about fitment of diffrent size wheels with diffrent drops, tires, fender rolling etc. I will give you an example and will post all information i have about my car and it's wheels (fitment): Car: '08 E92 335i Drop: Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, drop is about 1inch (maybe slightly more) front and rear Front wheels: 20x9 with offset (ET) 32 Front tire: 245/30 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo (the hankook S1 Evo is a very narrow tire) Rear wheels: 20x10.5 offset (ET) 38 Rear tires: 285/25 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo Fenders: the rear fenders are rolled, the rolling of the fenders could be done without re-painting them Camber: according mesurement report the camber in the rear is -1°50' (left hand side and right hand side) Rubbing: So far no rubbing, i already drove with another three people in the car and absolutely no rubbing at all. It only rubs on one certain situation: when the steering is turned completely to the left it slightly rubs on the "ventilation grille" which is inside the front fender on the right hand side. In the rear i think i could even run 3mm spacers, but not tried yet. I think you don't need to give that much information to other people but if you post your wheel size please also provide the offset of the wheels. Wheels size without information about offset is almost usless (IMO) Please only post reliable information.... and make sure you always post what car you drive (at least if E90-E91 / E92-E93) Happy modding... PS: please forgive me if a made a lot of mistake in writing, english is not my native language |
